Terms
Terms of Service
Last updated 17 October 2026
These terms cover your use of Quanlio, the trading journal at app.quanlio.com, and this website. They are written to be read, so they are in plain language rather than legal boilerplate. Using Quanlio means you agree to them.
1.Who you are contracting with
Quanlio is built and operated by Muhammad Ayoub, a sole proprietor based in Pakistan ("we" and "us" below).
Payments are handled by Paddle, which sells Quanlio to you as an authorised reseller and Merchant of Record. That means there are two relationships, not one: the service is provided by us under these terms, while the purchase, the invoice and any tax on it are Paddle's. Which Paddle company you buy from depends on where you are: Paddle.com Inc. in the United States, Paddle.com (Canada) Ltd in Canada, and Paddle.com Market Limited (registered in England and Wales, company number 8172165, 30 Old Bailey, London EC4M 7AU) everywhere else. That part of the purchase is covered by Paddle's buyer terms.
2.What Quanlio is
A trading journal. You log trades by hand or import them from a connected exchange, grade your execution, tag mistakes and the confluences behind a setup, and read the whole thing back as analytics: a calendar, an equity curve, and breakdowns by pair, setup and mistake. Alongside that it shows market context built from public data: market news, an economic calendar, and a summary of current conditions.
It is a record-keeping and analytics tool. It does not place trades, and it cannot move money.
3.Nothing in Quanlio is financial advice
Quanlio is a record-keeping and analytics tool. Nothing in it is financial, investment, tax or trading advice, and nothing in it is an offer or a solicitation to trade anything.
No number, chart, grade, tag or generated sentence in Quanlio is a recommendation to enter or exit a position. The analytics describe trades you have already taken. The market context describes public market conditions as they already are. It is not a forecast, and it does not predict where any market goes next.
Trading carries risk of loss, up to and including everything in your account. Every decision you make is your own. If you want advice, speak to someone licensed to give it where you live.
4.Accounts and access
Quanlio is in early access. Anyone can create an account, with an email address and password or with Google, and every account starts on the free tier.
An account is for one person. Keep your credentials to yourself, do not let anyone else use your account, and tell us if you think somebody has got into it. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
5.Exchange connections
Connecting an exchange is optional: the journal works fully with trades you type in yourself.
If you do connect one, Quanlio accepts only API keys the exchange itself reports as read-only, and refuses any key carrying a withdrawal permission. That check runs before the key is stored, so a key that could trade or withdraw never reaches our database at all. Stored keys are held encrypted, and the check runs again on every single sync: if a key stops being read-only, its stored secret is deleted and syncing stops until you add a read-only one. Your trades are kept.
This is enforced in code rather than promised in prose. Quanlio never places an order and never moves funds.
6.Acceptable use
Do not resell Quanlio or redistribute access to it. Do not scrape it or drive it with automated tools. Do not attempt to reach another account's data, and do not work around the limits that come with your plan.
If you find a security problem, email us before doing anything else with it. We would far rather hear from you than not.
7.Plans and payment
There are two plans, Free and Pro. What each one includes is set out on the pricing page. The published limits (exchange connections, how often you can sync, and how many trades are stored) are the ones the app enforces.
Pro is $19 per month in US dollars. Paddle calculates any local tax at checkout, so the total you pay may be higher than $19. A promotional code, such as the founding offer, lowers the price of the subscription it is applied to, as that offer states. A subscription renews every month until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time from Settings inside the app; access then continues to the end of the period you have already paid for, and does not renew again. Refunds are covered by the refund policy.
8.Ending it
You can cancel your subscription, or stop using Quanlio, whenever you like. You can export your trades to CSV from Settings at any time, including after cancelling, for as long as your account exists.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches section 6, or where the law requires it. Unless something is serious enough that it has to be acted on immediately, we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right first.
9.What we do and do not promise
Quanlio is provided as it is. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, or that its analytics, imports or market data are free of errors. Imported trades come from your exchange and market context comes from third-party feeds, and we cannot guarantee either.
We are not liable for trading losses. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything connected with Quanlio is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and where consumer law where you live gives you rights beyond these terms, those rights stand.
10.Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a way that matters, the new version is published here and the date at the top of the page moves with it. Continuing to use Quanlio after that means accepting the new version.
11.Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and disputes about them belong to the courts of Pakistan. Your purchase from Paddle is a separate contract governed by Paddle's own buyer terms. Consumer-protection rights you hold where you live are not affected by either.
12.Contact
Email hello@quanlio.com. Complaints have their own route and their own published turnaround times, set out in the refund and complaints policy.
